ANIMAL CONTROL/DEER REMOVAL

The Township has contracted New Jersey Animal Control LLC (NJAC) of Medford to provide animal control services for the Township. For animal control call 609-685-3384 or call non-emergency dispatch 856-234-8300
The following services will be provided by NJAC:
- Collection of contained, non-injured domestic animals and transport to the county animal shelter.
- Collection of sick/injured domestic animals and transport to Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital.
- Collection of injured wildlife (excluding deer) and transport to Woodford- Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge for care.
- Removal of deceased domestic animals located on roadways and public areas within the township. Animals on private property are the responsibility of the property owner.
- Removal of deceased wildlife (excluding deer) located on roadways and public areas within the township. Animals on private property are the responsibility of the property owner.
- Trapping of stray, feral cats that are not being fed by residents. Residents who are feeding stray, feral cats are considered to have taken ownership of the cat(s) and are responsible for all trapping and removal fees.
- Collection, transport, testing and reporting of suspected rabid animals.
- Trapping of wildlife is not covered in the contract between Mount Laurel and NJAC. Trapping of any wildlife is the responsibility of the property owner.
All services will be provided during normal business hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Contact non-emergency dispatch 856-234-8300 for all other hours.
Deer Recovery
Report to non-emergency dispatch # 856-234-8300 for all roads.
Residents can also report to Kim Miloszar, Police Department, M-F; 8:00 am to 4;00 pm. 856-234-1414 X 1550 (if on a state park must contact Kim)
